EPILOG PRODUCTS WATER-COOLED LEGENDS The Legend water-cooled line features Coherent CO2 lasers, available in 60, 80 and 100 watt configurations. Water-cooled lasers are higher wattage systems, and thus produce more heat during operation than can be dissipated through fan cooling. Therefore they require external devices - chillers that re-circulate chilled water around the laser tube. It works in much the same way your vehicle uses a radiator to keep the engine cool. Water-cooled lasers are for heavy production; they can engrave plastics, acrylics, and coated metals at full speed. Power hungry materials like wood can be engraved with the dual head option at full engraving speed while maintaining good contrast and engraving depth. Our 100 watt lasers can cut through 1/2 inch thick wood, plastic and acrylic in a single pass.
